Hi, the Western Suburbs Junior Cricket Club will be holding its Annual General Meeting on TUESDAY 8th JUNE 2021, at the Marble Room Wests Club New Lambton on Hobart Street for 7:30pm. Please note that this is different to the date announced at the presentation night, as the venue was unavailable on the Monday evening. The meeting should only last an hour.
At the AGM, the annual and financial reports will be presented, and we will elect office bearers (President, Treasurer and Secretary), along with other members of the management committee. If you would like to nominate for any role you can either email or message me directly, or feel free to nominate on the night. We would particularly encourage those parents with kids in the younger ages groups to come along and even consider nominating for a role. Some of the roles that need filling are: Committee member (ordinary), gear steward, registrar, MyCricket officer, covid officer, child safety officer, welcoming officer, school’s coordinator
At the AGM I will be moving a motion to change our constitution. The change relates to Section 9 and involves a change of text from:
“The financial year of the Association shall commence on one (1) July each year”
TO
“The financial year of the Association shall commence on one (1) June each year”
This change will allow us to close off our financial year at the end of May, thus allowing the AGM to be held in June (historically July). This allows the newly elected committee to begin season preparation from the start of July.
